My First Party for 2007

entry info: News, Events & Places | 2007-01-29 | Comment »

It’s my first party of the year and I had a blast! It went fine , amidst the fact:

1 That I’m such a shy girl (believe me)

2 That I don’t know anyone (personally)

3 That it was my first EB-thing (ever)

And I survived. It’s a start.

Parteeh Quick Sum:

Finally, I saw Abe. He’s one of my first cyberfriends that I met online 4 years ago.

Also other notable bloggers like Noemi, Janette, Retz, Jester, and Jayvee

Fellow philweavers Gail, Poell, Mae and Aaron

Shari, of course, na inantay ko sa MRT ng 1:18 at dumating 1:50. Hehe.

The lovely couple Chris & Apple.

Newmaria members, Joni and Karla (Mae & Gail too)

Then the other members of the lucky table + extra ones (mga nakiki-table): silent Eugene, lucky Geri, charming Ganns, Benj and Jeff (I missd one, I guess. Sorry)

Marcelle too – for making me believe in magic.

And the rest of the bloggers sa parteeh…

I didn’t win the 30GB Ipod. He’s the lucky guy. I wasn’t hoping though, coz I know wala talaga akong magnet sa raffle. A site screenshot of mine isn’t even there, boo-hoo. Maybe I’m not qualified for the bingo raffle. Eh? Hmm. But hey, it’s okay! I went home with lot of goodies too like Yehey shirt, GMA mug, 2 books of Bo Sanchez’s, USB Fan and mags.

Special thanks to the organizers, committees and sponsors for making this happen. T’was a success! For more pictures of the said event, check the party site.

Of Butterflies and Weddings

entry info: Life and Love | 2007-01-24 | Comment »

I saw butterflies in my dreams last night. 3 colorful ones and in different sizes. It’s so uncommon to me. Since birth, I’ve been having same old dreams of – walking or running, dead lovedones, state of falling, chasing dogs, etc. But butterflies? Hmm. To satisfy the curiosity, I google the subject and I found this:

To see a butterfly in your dream, denotes your need to settle down. Butterflies also signifies creativity, romance, joy and spirituality. You may be undergoing a transformation into a new way of thinking.

To see a beautiful colorful butterfly in your dream, denotes the positive impression you will make at a future social gathering.

Superstitious, eh?. Yeah, a lil. I was able to find more interpretations but the results all speaks of changes, social status, and weddings. So does it mean anything? Maybe because Annie and I had a non-stop chat yesterday about relationship, getting married, wedding budget and expenses. Or perhaps because Enah is getting married this coming January 5 of next year (matagal pa pala) and she’s asking me to help her in some preparations. Or maybe because I am getting married? – Nah. I don’t know. Will I ever will? I can hear Annie saying, Ano ka ba, you have joint savings account, so yun na yun. I don’t know. Really. Let’s wait for the right protocol. It is not just so right to assume.

We had few chitchats about the wedding preparations awhile ago and I have learned that – if you wish for a weekend wedding here in Manila, 1 year daw ang booking ng church. Fact? Naman. Think about it.

“A wedding is a woman’s affair, it is a woman’s event. It is a grand occasion tht she has been playing over and over again in her head since she first dreamed of getting married. Every woman deserves a wedding of her dream although level headed women would allow practicality to dictate the circumstances of her wedding.” – TPC Contributor
