Had a movie marathon last week. Ghost Rider at SM Cinema then watched DVDs’ of Apocalypto, Rocky Balboa and Pursuit of Happyness. What I like most is the latter. It’s an inspirational tale and will surely make you cry. I was moved and inspired. The movie is a true to life story of Chris Gardner who struggled from being a homeless single father to a self made millionaire. It’s a coming soon film in Manila, maybe next month (March), where Will Smith (as Gardner) costars with his own son, young Jaden Smith.
I highly recommend it, watch and find out why happiness is misspelled. The movie raises interesting question such as: What is real happiness? And how do we find it?

A friend of mine posted in his private blog few days ago about the five things that a person needs in order to be happy and these are:
Do you have all those 5? Or maybe you have your own criteria? Some people may have all of them but aren’t still happy. Pursuit of happiness is a never ending quest. Lucky are those who already found it.

hi shavei, yeah when i watched ghost rider last friday sa cinema., nakita ko pa lang sa trailer yung pursuit, ..apocalypto is good, r18 coz it’s tragic…bad for kids.

I fell asleep watching Ghostrider. I dared not watch apocalypto (after reading Joni’s review haha). And last weekend, I almost bought the Pursuit of Happyness in
piratedDVD, only the salesperson said it’s Drama daw (and I wasn’t in the mood to be all mushy and gushy nung weekend) kaya I didn’t buy it. LOL. Guess I made a wrong move. My mind (and principles) are kinda screwed up right now. I need something to remind me what matters most. HAHA.Joni said,
I watched Ghostrider last Sunday too! :) And I really, really wanna see Pursuit of Happiness but I got all teary-eyed just watching the preview.. baka maiyak ako sa movie. Waaah! I know it’s the “from rags to riches” kind of story, so pwede na rin. basta happy lng ang ending. hehehe! may bad effect saken ang tragic stories eh. LOL.

Hi Mae, Ritz and Joni! Pursuit is really not the uber mushy type..neutral lang, with cool soundtrack. It’s a feel good movie pa din. Watch it and enjoy!

i think i will love that movie, based on the trailer, and i’m the same with joni (hi joni) tragic endings has bad effect on me. i usually watch feel good movies. will smith with his son jaden made a rather remarkable team up, i thought at first the cute kid was just someone they picked up from an audition, later learned he was really actually his son, to make it more realistic. pardon me but what your friend wrote can be SOME WHAT true, u might actually get SOME happiness. i THINK happiness is but just a fleeting moment because we are always headed toward a storm, or in a storm or we just came out of a storm . happiness is a myth, no one can be really truly happy,
are u happy? can u really be happy with all the things that is happening in this pitiful world? can u be really happy when u don’t hold the control that makes u happy, some friends, some food, some work, someone? u can’t based ur happiness on something or on someone.
