While browsing some news in the web awhile ago, a certain subject caught my attention : The Korean Suicides. I got curious so I spent few hours to read some stories and references.
I was saddened when I found out that even Jeong Da-bin was into it. I am really not a fan of Koreanobelas in TV but there was this one and only film that I watched 2 years ago. It’s entitled Attic Cat, where Jeong Da-bin starred it and now she’s gone. Sigh. I was more surprised when I found out that she’s the third Korean star who committed suicide. I feel sorry for them. I can’t help asking why, oh why take your own life. They seemingly had everything: beauty, money, fame, friends, fans, lovers… Did you know that even some Korean kids commits suicide after not scoring well on test? Oh God. I heard that copycat suicides is also threatening to rise on the said country. Let’s hope not.
Good thing, most of the Filipino people are afraid of suicides. Why? It’s either because:
Having those kind of mentality, Juan and Maria never gets tired of waiting for that ray of light , a glimmer of hope even if he or she is annuled, broken hearted, frustrated, homeless, jobless, loveless…all the less in the world.
Let’s remain hopeful, people! Cheers to life!

That’s sad to hear. It’s fortunate that most of us Filipinos choose life and hope most of the time than to take our life away.
Thank you for the visit by the way! I also love this layout :D

That’s one of the characteristics of the Filipinos that I like. I, you, we always look at the brighter side of everything. We laugh away our problems.

Filipinos are happy people! Even in the midst of a crisis, a Filipino can still manage to smile and have fun! It just proves that we, compared to other nationalities, are optimistic enough to believe that we can survive almost anything. :D

yeah…kahit naghihirap sa buhay, go on living and be happy pa din!

Liz – I’m not. I’ve never been afraid of suicide. Minsan, oo, death. But it’s inevitable.

Suicides are indicators that we aren’t doing enough to alleviate to pain in the world. We should learn from the pains of these people and not condemn them.
