A brand new month. Let’s start it with Google’s April Fools Joke and the increasing power of blogs, go figure by watching this news video.
Update (4/2):
On today’s news – Korina Today’s feature is about a blog. Watching such topics on the local channel is something new. I saw the big question marks on my fellow viewers eyes. As a matter of fact, nahirapan akong mag-explain sa bahay kung ano ang blog. So I tried – in the most comprehensive way:
Blog – singular; Blogs – plural.
Blogger – singular; Bloggers – plural.
Ad space for lease parang ganun.
Going back to the said TV news – I think there’s something wrong about the title phrase of the said Korina Today’s edition – “Beware of the Blog” Huh, blog of who?
Whoever wrote /conceptualize the title should review the blogging 101 above in case he or she is confused.
Maybe it means:
Beware of the blogger – Focused on one controversial blogger only.
Beware of the blogs – Sounds general though. Which is, I think, unfair.
Also, the word “beware” is funny. We, bloggers indeed are powerful eh?
