Watching people watching Eraserheads Reunion Concert

After an exhausting day finding wedding rings, suit maker and affordable print shops – we headed straight to the concert area of Eraserheads carrying a plastic bag of papers, glue guns, etc…

When we we’re about to buy tickets, the security said that laptop is not allowed. Well, obviously oo nga naman! Bat kasi ang dami nating bitbit ! Lolz. Hay so much for sugod adventures…

We tried to wait so that we can at least listen, even from afar, the first 2 songs of Eraserheads concert – but it’s taking forever to start so we decided to walk around Bonifacio High and have dinner at Serendra.

Almost running back to the concert area after dinner, we found out that the awesome grand entrance and the first half of concert has ended. (ang tagal naman nating kumain waa) And the sad thing about it was that – there’ll be no second half. I almost wanted to cry!

So we went home praying that Ely Buendia will be fine. Having a heart attack history, his situation will never be easy anymore. The stress of preparations, loud sounds, lights, fireworks and screaming crowd can really make his heart beat fast. Also, it is hard to combine happiness with sadness. I believe he was overjoyed standing there (as Eraserheads again) witnessing the love of thousands of people in front of him but at the same time was tired and sad because his Mom died 2 days before the big concert day.

I didn’t watch the concert or even hear a single song they played but I witness the different kinds of people who are there waiting, spending their money and precious time just to watch the reunion of this 90′s band. They are loved by so much people – grabe as in I’ve got goosebumps. Eraserheads indeed is the national band of the Philippines.

So this is it. Finally.

The reunion concert of Eraserheads (band members: Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro) this coming Saturday, August 30 of 2008 at The Fort, Taguig.

The first OPM alternative band that I love. Their music during the 90′s reminds me of my memorable mid highschool and college days.

Unfortunately, I’m not watching :( Maybe if time, sched, long to-do list, budget and fiance permits. Heh.

Tickets: P800, P1300 Call 891-9999 for inquiries.

One of the best things about the church where we will celebrate our wedding is that they only accept 2 weddings a day. Rushing photo shoots will be avoided because you have the whole morning or whole afternoon (till early night).

=======

The number of flowers I like for my bridal bouquet was disapproved (well, by almost everyone). I said I want a long single stem (that’s how I adore simplicity) how about 3? okay maybe 7? Advices are to use only even numbers. I didn’t know there’s another “pamahiin” again about odd numbers.

=======

Right at this moment I am convincing myself that this time of the year is not the right time to finish and do marathon of DVD series like Gossip Girl etc.

=======

One afternoon in the middle of the traffic, I was watching him. He was fixing his mp3 player earphone and checking some playlist. I stared at him and made another silent let’s-see-if-he-really-loves-me. You know – signs and whatnot. Heh. I’ve been doing that since forever – secretly (now he knows… :d

I was just wondering if he will simply put those both earphones on his ears and ignore my existence beside him. I continued to silently observe and wait if he’ll give me the other left side earphone. If he do that, it means that he considers and think of me…

And he did – placing the other earphone to mine and holding me closer to him.

=======

This coming September, we’re visiting my hometown – Naga, Cam Sur. Not on a fiesta date though because all bus and plane tickets are fully booked already. Part of our wedding preps sched is to visit my mother’s grave and his father too before our wedding.

=======

Despite the stress that this month brought – it’s a good sign that we’ve accomplished lot of things like booking the couturier, hmu, coordinators, stylist, final gown designs, wedding website and newly issued birth / cenomar certificates. Invitations and favor designs are almost done as well. Hah. The long sleepless nights and the reality of waking up, bugging and crying at fiance for silly reasons of long to-do list are serious signs of how stress affects my mood turned to crazy 360 degrees.

=======

Most of the churches no longer accept weddings on a Sunday, Thus I’ve decided to declare a no wedding preps on a Sunday as well. It will be our rest day. Today, I spent it sleeping almost the whole morning and watching You Tube vids, DVD series including Gossip Girl.
