Watching people watching Eraserheads Reunion Concert

2008-08-30| Flicks, Celeb, Fab & Music | News, Events & Places | 3 Comments »

After an exhausting day finding wedding rings, suit maker and affordable print shops – we headed straight to the concert area of Eraserheads carrying a plastic bag of papers, glue guns, etc…

When we we’re about to buy tickets, the security said that laptop is not allowed. Well, obviously oo nga naman! Bat kasi ang dami nating bitbit ! Lolz. Hay so much for sugod adventures…

We tried to wait so that we can at least listen, even from afar, the first 2 songs of Eraserheads concert – but it’s taking forever to start so we decided to walk around Bonifacio High and have dinner at Serendra.

Almost running back to the concert area after dinner, we found out that the awesome grand entrance and the first half of concert has ended. (ang tagal naman nating kumain waa) And the sad thing about it was that – there’ll be no second half. I almost wanted to cry!

So we went home praying that Ely Buendia will be fine. Having a heart attack history, his situation will never be easy anymore. The stress of preparations, loud sounds, lights, fireworks and screaming crowd can really make his heart beat fast. Also, it is hard to combine happiness with sadness. I believe he was overjoyed standing there (as Eraserheads again) witnessing the love of thousands of people in front of him but at the same time was tired and sad because his Mom died 2 days before the big concert day.

I didn’t watch the concert or even hear a single song they played but I witness the different kinds of people who are there waiting, spending their money and precious time just to watch the reunion of this 90′s band. They are loved by so much people – grabe as in I’ve got goosebumps. Eraserheads indeed is the national band of the Philippines.
