Crossing

Posted by: Crash Into Me | 2009-01-30 | 4 Comments »

Ever since I was a kid , crossing roads is one of my phobic disorders. (Both literally and figuratively) I usually join the crowd and always make sure that I’m on the non-danger side :p

There are times that I tend to stop in the middle of the road, sometimes walking back, which is of course, dangerous… scared that the vehicle driver thinks the other way around and might hit me, something like that.

It’s the same with trying a new route in life  -  leaving behind the road of comfort zones that you used to know just because you wanna try to walk this time to that specific road that will lead you to, maybe, a more brighter future…well, just maybe.

Hookay..so anyway just one more day and this month is over. (Weird, I’ve been waiting for it to end!)  They said January is an ironic month. We usually welcome it with a bang because it marks the start of a new year but at the same time it is also the most depressing month (from a certain study found here).

Fading Christmas memories, failed resolutions and a lack of motivation conspire to depress, Cliff Arnalls, the researcher found.

The mentioned study was also based on other factors like: weather (imagine the agony of cold mornings waking up 5am for my 630am work),  payables and expenses hangover from holidays (not to mention our December wedding).

Also, add the fact of this severe global crisis we’re experiencing:  companies sinking,  unemployment rising, salaries gnashing  (and so they rhyme hehe)

Depressing indeed.

Right now, I am having my fair share of it – in a different way though. I call it self-recession. Lolz, if there’s such a thing. Well, why? Go back and read the first four stanzas.

So. And so, and so… I am on my way now to that new road.

How’s it gonna be? I don’t know.

Yet.

For now, I’ll end this post with a particular phrase, just like how U.S President Barrack Obama requested it to add for his oath during the inauguration,  it says: so help me God.
